India is an invitation to explore, question, and to embrace the contradictions and hidden beauty that lie within this diverse land.

Taken during my two week travel to India in December 2015 to January 2016. It was an eye opening experience that challenged my perceptions of the country, because of its immense tapestry of people, languages, traditions, food, and religions. I was left stunned by the generosity of its people, its ancient history, and its quickly modernizing society. I was expecting an interesting journey, what I discovered was a nation of staggering diversity, where every turn revealed a new facet of its captivating culture. From the tranquil countryside to the bustling tech cities, and from the hallowed grounds of ancient temples, to the vibrant streets teeming with life, this photo series captures the beauty of India in all its contrasting, yet harmonious complexities.

Through the lens of my camera, I sought to share the profound moments of connection, astonishment, and wonder that defined my travels in India.
